Origin 1639 Gin Rickey

In the late 1800s, the most popular gin drink was not a Martini or a G&T, it was a Gin Rickey. Every gin brand advertised theirs as the best gin for a Rickey, presumably because Sipsmith hadn't been created yet. This drink is not sweet, but there's none more refreshing.

Ingredients

40ml Sipsmith Origin 1639 Gin
5ml Simple Syrup
Soda Water
Three Lime Wedges

Method

Fill a glass with ice cubes and squeeze in lime wedges.
Add Origin 1639 and simple syrup.
Top with chilled soda water and stir to combine.
