Cast your minds back to September, when the bramble-tangled hedgerows were heaving with plump jewel-like berries. It seems rather a long way off, doesn’t it? Well, luckily for you, we’ve captured the taste of winter in our Bramble Gin Liqueur — the perfect Christmas gin liqueur to add to your festive drinks cabinet. Blackberries may well grow in the countryside, but the world-famous Bramble cocktail (the flavour inspiration behind our Bramble Gin Liqueur), was very much an urban invention, with legendary London bartender, Dick Bradsell first mixing-up the cocktail in his London bar, using London Dry Gin and Crème de Mûre – the rest is gin history. In the same spirit, we hand-crafted our new Bramble Gin Liqueur by resting fresh-pressed blackberries on our London Dry Gin before straining the fruit and sweetening with a little sugar. The finished blackberry gin liqueur has a fruity nose of crisp green apples and jam, a smooth, berry-rich palate and warm notes of seasonal mulled spice to end.

This perfect Prosecco and bramble Christmas party starter is a twist on the Kir Royale.
25ml Bramble Gin Liqueur
150ml Prosecco
Using a coupe or flute, add a single serve of Sipsmith Bramble Gin Liqueur, then top with Prosecco.
Sipsmith Bramble
This classic British cocktail was inspired by inventor Dick Bradsell’s childhood memories of blackberry picking on the Isle of Wight.
15ml Sipsmith Bramble Gin Liqueur
35ml London Dry Gin
20ml Lemon juice
15ml Sugar syrup
Fill a rocks glass with crushed ice. Pour in Sipsmith London Dry Gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup. Gently stir, then top with Sipsmith Bramble Gin Liqueur. Garnish with a berry.

50ml Bramble Gin Liqueur
Premium tonic water
Blackberries (to garnish)
Add the gin to an ice-filled highball and top with tonic water. Stir once and garnish with a blackberry or tow.
