Our latest Sipping Society gin is an ode to the winter hearth. As Bonfire Night approaches, with its promise of toffee apples and fireworks, turn to our Smoked Chestnut Gin: All fire-roasted malts and nutty caramel, it is delicious served with ginger beer and an orange wedge. Summer may be over, but autumn’s delights are only just beginning.

More Product Information

With notes of roasted chestnuts, chocolate, caramel, biscuit, nuts, and orange all packed into each sip.

The store cupboard is full, the weather draws in, and before you know it, Bonfire Night is upon us. Pull on your favourite bobble hat and seek out your winter gloves before buttoning up your coat and braving the cold to see the fireworks. Once the “ooohs” and “ahhhs” have subsided, and while the smell of sparkler cinders still lingers in the air, head home and cosy up by the fire with our Smoked Chestnut Gin. Its kindled character and rich nuttiness make it distinctive in a G&T, garnished with an orange slice. All the winter fire-side treats are involved in this unusual gin, with notes of roasted chestnuts, chocolate, caramel, biscuit, nuts, and orange all packed into each sip. To fend off the cold with an extra kick, stir it up into an orange-garnished Smoked Highball

The Nose: Warming citrus, toasted nuts and smoke
The Palate: Rich caramel maltiness, walnuts and smooth chocolate, brightened with bitter orange peel
The Finish: A long chestnutty finish with a light smokiness

Reviews

  1. Not a fan of this one at all! I didn’t get any of the tasting notes, instead I found this to be overly bitter.

  2. We used Smoked Chestnut Gin as a G&T alongside a butternut squash soup starter. It was pleasant but we did not sense the notes as we had hoped. Another review from the FFS Gin Girls.
