The delicious Cranachan is a traditional and treasured Scottish dessert – a staple that has been enjoyed for many decades to mark the yearly raspberry harvest. Our Cranachan Gin Liqueur uses the sweetness of raspberries and bee pollen, paired perfectly with toasted traditional oats to give this gin a full mouthfeel.

This month’s Cranachan Gin Liqueur is a celebration of harvest. Cranachan is often referenced as “the uncontested King of Scottish desserts” and is a firm favourite of our resident Scotsman, Ginnovation Manager, Ciarán. Our distillers took inspiration from the traditional Scottish dessert, which was originally made following the raspberry harvest in June, and is made from seasonal raspberries, fresh cream, honey, and Scottish oats.

We added raspberries, toasted oats and bee pollen to the still, blended with a small amount of honey to offer a rich creaminess on the palate - creating a ginny reinvention of this summertime dessert for you to savour.

Raise your own toast to the harvest, with 50ml Cranachan Gin Liqueur, topped with lemon tonic and garnished with fresh raspberries.

Tasting Notes:
The Nose: Fruity, rich and nutty.

The Palate: A sweet and full palate with juicy tangy fruit.

The Finish: Fades to a rich, lightly smokey finish.

A refreshing take on this indulgent dessert.

50ml Cranachan Gin Liqueur
20ml lemon juice
Soda water, to top up
Fresh mint leaves and sprig, to garnish

Add the Cranachan Gin Liqueur, lemon juice and 4-6 fresh mint leaves to an ice-filled highball glass. Top with chilled soda water and garnish with a sprig of mint.

A creamy serve that best shows this classic Scottish dessert.

50ml Cranachan Gin Liqueur
20ml lemon juice
Fresh raspberries
Egg white, or vegan alternative

Add your Cranachan Gin Liqueur, lemon juice, 6 fresh raspberries and the egg white into a shaker and shake well. Then, add ice and shake again! Strain your ingredients into a chilled coupette glass and garnish with a raspberry on top.
