Spring has sprung! And the new season brings with it all the hallmarks of warm-weather sipping, from long serves and fresh berries to vibrant herbs and bright citrus. Join us in a spirited celebration: these five spring cocktail recipes are perfect for gin lovers looking to raise a glass.

GIN BASIL SMASH

Delicately green and reminiscent of growing things, the Gin Basil Smash—first dreamed up by Hamburg-based bartender Joerg Meyer in 2008—is an essential spring cocktail recipe to have on hand.

  • 2 1/2 parts Sipsmith® London Dry Gin
  • 1 part freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 part simple syrup
  • 12 basil leaves (plus more to garnish)
Gin Basil Smash

Gently muddle the basil leaves in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and the remaining three ingredients. Seal, shake well, and double strain into an ice-filled tumbler. Garnish with additional basil leaves.

LEMON DRIZZLE MOJITO

A refreshing Lemon Drizzle Mojito is perfect for spring sipping.

Put your Lemon Drizzle Gin to good use and give it a starring role in this long, zesty number.

  • 2 1/2 parts Sipsmith Lemon Drizzle Gin
  • 3/4 part freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3/4 part freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 part simple syrup
  • 8-10 mint leaves, plus more to garnish
  • Chilled soda water, to top
  • Raspberry, to garnish
  • Lemon twist, to garnish

Put the first five ingredients in a highball glass. Fill with crushed ice and churn with a long handled spoon. Top with more crushed ice and chilled soda water. Garnish with a sprig of mint, raspberry, and lemon twist.

FIG-ET ME NOT

Redolent of juicy figs, this decadent spring cocktail—a riff on a classic sour—is the perfect way to toast the season.

  • 2 parts Sipsmith London Dry Gin
  • 1 part Crème de Figue®
  • 1 part freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 part simple syrup
  • 1 egg white or vegan alternative
  • Dash of Angostura® bitters
  • Sliced fig, to garnish

Combine all ingredients in a shaker and dry shake. Add ice to the shaker, seal, and shake again. Double strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with the sliced fig and a swirl of bitters.

DAISY

The Daisy is a classic spring number that’s been savored for centuries.

In honor of the daisies that are popping up all over town, whip up a classic, refreshing Daisy.

  • 2 parts Sipsmith London Dry Gin
  • 1 part freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/3 part pomegranate syrup (or grenadine)
  • Chilled soda water, to top
  • Seasonal berries, to garnish

Add first three ingredients to an ice-filled cocktail shaker and shake. Strain into an ice-filled glass. Top with chilled soda water and garnish with seasonal berries and a straw.

HOP COLLINS

This spring, don’t choose between beer and gin: instead, make yourself a Hop Collins and enjoy the best of both refreshing worlds.

  • 2 1/2 parts Sipsmith London Dry Gin
  • 1/2 part simple syrup
  • 1 part freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Good-quality lager or pale ale, to top
  • Lemon twist, to garnish

Combine the first three ingredients in an ice filled cocktail shaker. Shake well and double strain into a chilled glass. Top with chilled beer and garnish with a lemon twist.
