LONDON DRY G&T

Learn how to craft the perfect gin and tonic and you’ll always be able to enjoy a drink of satisfying simplicity. However, it’s worth remembering that there are plenty of opportunities to add your own signature style.

Get started and perfect your serve by answering a few simple questions that reveal if you’re a Classic, Zesty or Champion sipper. In turn, this will help you identify your ideal Sipsmith sip – whether that’s a London Dry G&T, Zesty Orange G&T, Lemon Drizzle G&T or Strawberry Smash G&T.

For a classic Wimbledon cocktail, made with a traditional style gin that originated in the same city as the famed tennis championships, simply gather:

Fill a highball glass with ice, pour in the gin and top up with chilled, premium tonic water. Garnish with a few freshly sliced strawberries to bring the essence of championship sipping to this classic cocktail.

STRAWBERRY SMASH COLLINS

Our Strawberry Smash Gin takes to Centre Court in this Wimbledon cocktail. A collaboration between two British icons who both champion craftsmanship, unique traditions and passionate people going to extraordinary lengths, it was crafted using real Wimbledon strawberries to celebrate our partnership.

Make your winning take on the classic Collins using:

  • 50ml Sipsmith Strawberry Smash Gin
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 15ml sugar syrup
  • chilled soda water, to top
  • fresh strawberries, to garnish
  • lemon twist, to garnish

Combine the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup in an ice-filled highball glass and top with chilled soda water. Garnish with fresh strawberries and a lemon twist for a winning serve.

MARTINI

Once you’ve learned to make the perfect Martini, you’ll never look back. Strong and sophisticated, it’s an all-time ace. Make this timeless serve with:

Fill a mixing glass with ice, add the vermouth and stir for a few seconds. Add the gin to the mixing glass and stir briskly for 50 turns. Strain into a chilled glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

GIN RICKEY

A classic cocktail, this tipple is as iconic as The Championships, Wimbledon, rooted in history as far back as the 1890s. Crafted with fresh lime wedges elevates this refreshing cocktail. Perfect for a day of court side sipping; the ultimate Wimbledon cocktail.

Add the gin and soda to an ice-filled highball glass. Squeeze the lime wedges and drop them in, before lifting with a drinks stirrer to combine. Garnish with a lime twist for the perfect serve.

GIN & JUICE

Or should that be Gin & Deuce? One of our favourite Wimbledon cocktails was inspired by a trip to Australia, where juicers are commonplace in bars as a cocktail ingredient. It’s just one of the offerings in our cocktail book – SIP – which features 100 gin cocktails, each using only three ingredients. For this Aussie-inspired drop, you’ll need:

  • 50ml Sipsmith London Dry Gin
  • 100-150ml freshly pressed apple juice
  • apple slices, to garnish
  • fresh ginger slice (optional)
gin and deuce

Combine the ingredients in an ice-filled highball glass. Stir to combine and garnish with apple slices and a slice of fresh ginger if you fancy a little fire in this Wimbledon cocktail.

STRAWBERRY SMASH SPRITZ

This delightful sparkler is the ultimate tipple for a sunny evening watching the tennis greats. And because it’s a courtside tipple, it features our Strawberry Smash Gin, naturally:

  • 50ml Sipsmith Strawberry Smash Gin
  • 25ml fresh lemon juice
  • 50ml soda water
  • Champagne, to top
  • Freshly sliced strawberry, to garnish
  • Sprig of mint, to garnish

Add the gin, fresh lemon juice and soda water to a large wine glass filled with ice. Top with chilled Champagne and grnish with a freshly sliced strawberry and a sprig of fresh mint.
