Served as a sensationally sippable Spritz, a zesty G&T or a refreshing Mojito, here’s our favourite lemon gin cocktails, crafted with our Lemon Drizzle Gin.
When life gives you lemons, what better solution than to combine them with our award-winning London Dry Gin? That’s exactly what our talented Distillers did to create our deliciously hand crafted Lemon Drizzle Gin. Vapour-infused with sweet, sun-dried lemon peel, delicately aromatic lemon verbena and hand-peeled lemons, our Lemon Drizzle Gin joins its equally zesty partner in citrus – our Zesty Orange Gin.
LEMON DRIZZLE G&T
Bringing a burst of citrus to the classic gin and tonic, a Lemon Drizzle G&T is like a welcome ray of summer sunshine. Slightly sweet, satisfyingly simple and eminently refreshing, it’s also incredibly simple to craft at home by filling a highball glass with ice and pouring over 50ml Sipsmith Lemon Drizzle Gin. Top up with Fever-Tree Mediterranean tonic water and gently ‘lift’ with a Swan Drinks Stirrer or long-handled spoon to combine. Garnish with a lemon peel twist or wedge of fresh lemon.
LEMON DRIZZLE MOJITO
For a tantalising and taste-bud-tingling marriage of lemon and mint, our Lemon Drizzle Mojito is our go-to lemon gin cocktail for summer. Give this traditional Cuban cocktail a ginny twist by combining 50ml Sipsmith Lemon Drizzle Gin, 15ml lemon juice, 15ml lime juice, 20ml sugar syrup and 8-10 mint leaves in a glass. Churn with crushed ice and top up with more crushed ice and soda water, before garnishing with a sprig of mint and a fresh lemon peel twist. LEMON DRIZZLE SPRITZ
Here’s a supremely simple lemon gin cocktail recipe to add to your repertoire. Don’t be fooled into thinking Spritz cocktails are just for summer – this simple serve will instantly transport you to warmer climates – without leaving your garden. Pour 50ml Sipsmith Lemon Drizzle Gin, 25ml homemade lime syrup, 12.5ml elderflower cordial and 3-4 mint leaves into a large wine glass and stir to combine. Then add ice cubes and stir again. Top up with soda water, or a splash of prosecco to add a sparkling twist, and garnish with a sprig of mint and a lemon wheel. Serve your Lemon Drizzle Spritz alongside a Sunday brunch or as an effervescent start to a relaxing evening in.
LEMON DRIZZLE 75
Champagne flutes at the ready – this lemon gin cocktail deserves to be served with a flourish. Created in 1915 at the New York Bar in Paris by bartender Harry MacElhone, we’ve taken the classic French 75 recipe and given it a zesty twist. To make a Lemon Drizzle 75, combine 35ml Sipsmith Lemon Drizzle Gin, 20ml freshly squeezed lemon juice and 10ml sugar syrup in an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake well to combine the ingredients and then strain into a Champagne flute or coupe. Top up with chilled Champagne or prosecco, and garnish with a lemon peel twist.
HOT LADY
Combat the winter chill with this angelic hot serve, designed to warm you from head to toe. To craft this creamy sip at home, simply combine 50ml Sipsmith Lemon Drizzle Gin, 20ml Dry Curaçao and 15ml lemon juice in a heat proof vessel and gently heat in a water bath or pan of hot water. In a separate pan heat 25ml full fat milk and froth with a steam wand or milk frother. Pour the warmed gin, Dry Curaçao and lemon juice into a thick glass or mug and top with the frothed milk, then garnish with a grate of fresh lemon zest.
