Six Sipsmith Gin Spritz Recipes To Sip This Summer

in Mixology August 11, 2021

Promising to serve up a ray of refreshing summer sunshine, these sparkling spritz recipes are picnic pleasers and the perfect accompaniment to an al fresco evening meal.

Served in an ice-filled wine glass, these summer spritz recipes make for an eminently effervescent serve. Simply pop your prosecco, select your favourite Sipsmith gin – or non-alcoholic Sipsmith FreeGlider – and prepare to enjoy a long, refreshing cocktail. If you don’t have any sugar syrup in your home bar, you can whip up your own in a few minutes with our easy sugar syrup recipe.

This sensationally sippable gin spritz recipe revolves around our award-winning London Dry Gin. We find this classic crowd-pleaser is best enjoyed with your feet up in the sunshine. You’ll need:

  • 50ml Sipsmith London Dry Gin
  • 25ml lemon juice
  • 25ml sugar syrup
  • 100ml prosecco
  • Lime twist and a mint sprig, to garnish

London Dry Gin Spritz

Simple to build in the glass, add the first three ingredients into an ice-filled wine glass. Top with chilled prosecco and gently stir before garnishing with a lime twist and a sprig of mint.

Featuring fresh orange peel and zest, this citrus gin pairs perfectly with prosecco to create a refreshing, bright spritz in a recipe that’s crafted with summer evenings in mind.

Orange Gin - Zesty Orange Spritz

Add our Zesty Orange Gin and sugar syrup to an ice-filled wine glass, then pour over the prosecco and soda water. Then, using a long-handled spoon – or perhaps our stylish Swan Barspoon – lift the drink from the bottom of the glass to mix while maintaining fizz. Garnish with a large orange twist.

Looking for another zesty gin cocktail? You’ve come to the right place. Featuring our Lemon Drizzle Gin, with its aromatic freshness and sharp bite, the addition of lemon juice and elderflower cordial make for a truly sensational spritz.

  • 50ml Sipsmith Lemon Drizzle Gin
  • 25ml elderflower cordial
  • 15ml  lemon juice
  • 3-4 mint leaves
  • 75ml prosecco
  • 25ml chilled soda water
  • Lemon wheel and mint sprig, to garnish

Add the gin, elderflower cordial, lemon juice and 3-4 mint leaves to an ice-filled wine glass and stir. Then top with the prosecco and soda water. Lift from the bottom of the glass with a stirrer or bar spoon to gently combine the ingredients. Finally, garnish with a lemon wheel and a sprig of mint.

Taking alcohol-free sipping to new heights, this summer spritz recipe features FreeGilder, which is carefully crafted with juniper and citrus for a delicious drink that refuses to compromise on quality, flavour and enjoyment.

The result of 189 prototypes and over 100 experiments with various ingredients, FreeGlider has notes of refreshing eucalyptus and spicy juniper undertones, while the bright and zesty palate is balanced by a full-bodied capsicum heat. To elevate a moment of moderation, all you need is:

  • 50ml FreeGlider
  • 50ml pink grapefruit juice
  • 15ml lemon juice
  • 100ml lemonade
  • 15ml sugar syrup
  • Wedge of grapefruit and sprig of rosemary, to garnish

Add all the ingredients to an ice-filled wine goblet or Copa de Balon glass. Lift with a drinks stirrer or long-handled spoon to combine. Garnish with a wedge of grapefruit and sprig of rosemary.

We’re all going on a summer holiday, even if that holiday is the simple pleasure of soaking up the sun from a deckchair in your own garden. Pineapple and passionfruit make for a tropical twist that’s ideal for balmy summer evenings.

  • 30ml Sipsmith London Dry Gin
  • 20ml lime juice
  • 50ml pineapple juice
  • 1 passion fruit
  • Prosecco, to top
  • Wedge of pineapple, to garnish

Add the first three ingredients in an ice-filled wine glass along with the insides of one half of the passion fruit. Stir a couple of times before topping with prosecco. Garnish with the other half of passion fruit or a pineapple wedge, or both!

Who said Sipsmith Sloe Gin was reserved for winter sipping? Certainly not us. Made by resting our award-winning London Dry Gin on wild sloe berries, this handcrafted gin is bursting with flavour. Next time the sun shines, pop open the prosecco and craft this delightfully sweet summer gin spritz.

  • 50ml Sipsmith Sloe Gin
  • 10ml port
  • 75ml lemonade
  • 75ml prosecco
  • Lemon twist and a blackberry, to garnish

Add the first three ingredients into an ice-filled wine glass, before topping with prosecco. Gently stir to combine and garnish with a lemon twist and a blackberry.
